Morning Robot: Rebecca Black, Charlie Sheen, Catherine Zeta Jones
Today is about bi-polar disorder, court, and death threats. That’s right, we’re talking Catherine Zeta-Jones, Charlie Sheen, and, get this, Rebecca Black. Catherine Zeta-Jones has opened up about her disorder, while Charlie Sheen appeared in court on Tuesday to battle custody. And poor Rebecca Black has been receiving death threats over her music! While the song is criminal, it doesn’t require vigilante justice! Read on for more!
Rebecca Black has been getting way more trouble than she could possibly ever deserve. The 13-year-old singer has been receiving death threats, by email and phone. According to an involved police officer, “In essence, the threats were related to getting off the Internet or they were going to kill her.” You may find Black’s music stupid, but in my opinion, it’s way more stupid to threaten someone’s life over a song.
Catherine Zeta-Jones has finally opened up about suffering from bipolar II disorder. She released a statement saying, “This is a disorder that affects millions of people and I am one of them…if my revelation of having bipolar II has encouraged one person to seek help…then it’s worth it.” Apparently, the actress’ friends were concerned, and knew that she was suffering from what appeared to be depression, but were unaware of the severity. Catherine Zeta-Jones will soon be starting a new film, and so it is good that she has gotten treatment.
In other news, Charlie Sheen appeared in court as part of a custody battle between him and his ex, Brooke Mueller. The judge was apparently upset about Sheen’s prior bragging concerning past drug use, and so according to TMZ, Sheen lost the case, and the current custody arrangement won’t be changing. After court, Charlie Sheen went aboard a flight to Washington DC, for the next leg of his Torpedo of Truth tour.
