American Idol Results Preview: Elimination Night March 31, 2011
American Idol double elimination night preview.
I’m going to do something a little different this week with my American Idol elimination prediction. Normally I would choose the three contestants I felt will be in the bottom three this week and who would end up getting voted off. This week, since Casey Abrams was saved last week, there will be two singers eliminated so it is double jeopardy if you find yourself in the bottom three. Instead of picking the bottom three myself, I’m going to let Twitter do it.
Here is what I mean. Each of the American Idol contestants has a Twitter account. As you might imagine some of them have more followers than others. In theory this should show who is the most popular and thereby be a reliable way to select who will get the most votes. So, according to Twitter the three contestants with the fewest number of followers are: Naima Adedapo with 16,402, Haley Reinhart with 21,546 and Jacob Lusk with 21,207. These three lag a ways behind the next lowest on the scale which is Stefano Langone with 32,343. For the record the Idol with the most followers is Scotty McCreery with 52,809.
So if this is an accurate slice of how people feel then Naima Adedapo, Haley Reinhart and Jacob Lusk will make up the American Idol bottom three tonight and Naima and Haley will be going home. Somehow I think Haley may have saved herself last night which means that Stefano Langone would slide into the bottom three and be eliminated. But, I decided to stick with just the numbers so you heard it here first. Twitter says that it will be Naima Adedapo and Haley Reinhart who get eliminated tonight.
It is sure to be a drama and emotion filled hour so tune in tonight at 8PM for American Idol on FOX to see who does get sent home and find out if my theory holds any water.
