Dancing With The Stars Week 2: Hines Ward, Petra Nemcova, Wendy Williams
How will Hines, Petra and Wendy do during Dancing With The Stars week 2?
Wendy Williams, Petra Nemcova and Hines Ward represent the good, the bad and the middle of the road from the first episode of Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars. It was the first episode and for all three of these contestants it was the first time they had danced on TV so nerves were to be expected. While all three had clear room for improvement they all showed some promise of what might be to come.
Hines Ward was the surprise of the group. Football players have a history of doing well, but his infectious smile and surprisingly light on his feet moves scored him a solid 21 that put he and his partner Kym Johnson near the top of the leaderboard. If he gets better from here and hangs on to his fun loving personality he could be a threat to win this.
Petra Nemcova has such an emotional story of survival that her pre-dance behind the scenes footage had the DWTS crowd in tears. She and her partner Dmitry Chaplin did an elegant foxtrot and got a decent score. Petra seems to have some lingering physical problems stemming from the terrible injuries she suffered in the 2004 tsunami. Only time will tell if they limit her too much and keep her from really being able to pull out all the stops and kick butt.
At the other end of the DWTS spectrum was Wendy Williams. Wendy lacked confidence, was nervous and struggled badly to get the steps down. Her partner Tony Dovolani did his best to calm her down, but when they hit the floor she was pretty freaked out didn’t do very well at all. She got one of the lowest scores of the week and will need to improve quickly if she wants to stick around past this week.
All three of these stars take to the dance floor tonight at 8PM on ABC. Tune in to Dancing With The Stars to see how well they do.
