American Idol 2011: Crazy Results Show Recap
The American Idol 2011 results show from last night was one hell of a wild and crazy ride.
Last night’s American Idol 2011 may not have been a shock for a lot of people, but I for one thought it was a dramatic show. First, let me say, that I loved seeing Hulk Hogan make an appearance. Ryan Seacrest called up Paul McDonald and James Durbin to the stage and ran a clip about how they are utterly huge wrestling fans. The other contestants said that was all they watched on television in the house, and showed the two using their wrestling moves on one another. After the clip, Ryan said that both of them were NOT SAFE. But not because they were in the bottom three, but because Hulk Hogan was there. With that, smoke comes billowing out, and the Hulkster comes out. James and Paul are besides themselves. In what was probably the cheesiest moment of the night, the Hulkster pretends to lay one on Seacrest, and he goes “flying” into the crowd (which happened to be 3 big bodyguards awaiting his fall.)
It came down to Stefano Langone, and Casey Abrams. Now at this point, I was very upset, because as you know if you’ve been reading my articles, Casey is my favorite. He has to sing for his life. Remember, the judges have one save per season up until they reach the American Idol Top 5, when they no longer have the option. They also have to come to a unanimous vote in order for the save to go through.
Casey Abrams starts to sing, and Randy stops the song immediately. He says there is no need for Casey to prove what kind of singer he is, and the judges want him to continue in the competition because he deserved to. The American Idol 2011 judges gave him some advice to carry him through all while Casey was trying to compose himself. He could not believe his ears. Ryan was having a tough time following him around stage, and trying to speak with him.
Last night was suppose to determine the Top 10 performers, as well as who would be going on their summer concert tour. Since Casey Abrams was saved, Ryan Seacrest made the announcement at the end of the show that it was predetermined that should the judges decide to save someone this week, all 11 performers would be part of the tour. However, that also means that 2 people will be eliminated from the American Idol 2011 competition next week!
