the middle recapThe Heck family spring break is sidetracked by a burglary!

After being on a hiatus for a few weeks, there was a new episode of The Middle last night.  The Heck family is off on their annual Spring Break vacation when they get a call from a neighbor claiming that their house had been robbed.  The neighbor had been going into the house to leave the Heck’s mail while they were out of town and called the police because the house looked like it had been ransacked.  Well, if you’re a fan of The Middle, you know that the house always appears like this.

Last night on The Middle, the Hecks come home to the police and the neighbor in their house and can’t admit that their home is just full of junk and that the robbery didn’t actually occur. So they go along with it and file a report with the police.  At this point, Frankie (Patricia Heaton) is determined to clean the house and get rid of all of the junk.  She thought it would take one morning to get it all done.  When that doesn’t happen, she decides to put all of the junk out on the front lawn and go through it that way.  That backfires as well, because the neighbors just think it’s a dump, and starting placing their unwanted items there as well.  So Sue (Eden Sher) and Axl (Charlie McDermott) take the items to the charitable donation center and leave everything after hours, which is against the law!  Poor Sue, she feels the guilt come on strong and thinks the police will arrest her for sure.

The police do come back to the house, with all of their stuff from the charitable donation center.  Not to arrest Sue, but to say that they have found all of their “stolen” items!  So next time you watch The Middle, don’t think you’ll see a clean house, because Frankie just decides to put all of their junk back where it originally was!
