American Idol 2011: Jacob Lusk Top 11 Song Prediction

It’s Motown classics week on American Idol 2011, which means that this is Jacob Lusk’s week to shine. The Californian singer has a penchant for gospel music, which Motown music often celebrates. In Steven Tyler’s own words, “I think gospel had a baby and they named it Jacob Lusk.” Last week, Lusk was “safe” after his performance of “Alone,” by i-TEN. Will he continue to shine this week?

My prediction is that Jacob Lusk will perform “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” by Four Tops. He certainly has the vocal range for it, and I just know he can pull it off. Others might predict that Lusk will perform a song by the Temptations, but Lusk has already done this twice (having auditioned with Papa was a Rolling Stone, and performing Get Ready during part 2 of the Hollywood Round). Jacob Lusk will definitely be safe on American Idol this week; this genre was made for him!

And don’t forget to tune into Fox tonight, to see how Lusk performs!
