Discovery Channel has issued a press release confirming that Jake Harris and Josh Harris, in light of the death of their father, Captain Phil Harris, will return for another season of Deadliest Catch.

Coming off of the record breaking episode which aired of the death of Captain Phil Harris last season on Deadliest Catch. His two sons, Josh and Jake Harris, who were deckhands on their fathers ship, the Cornelia Marie, were uncertain if they would return for another season of Deadliest Catch.

Josh Harris and Jake Harris will in fact return to the Bering Sea this October to continue on the crabbing legacy of their father, Captain Phil Harris. The Harris brothers will continue to learn the trade of crabbing and hope that some day they will become captains of their very own crabbing vessel.

Discovery Channel President, Clark Bunting, stated: “Josh and Jake are part of the Discovery family. We shared a very tough year together and look forward to continuing this special relationship in the future. Right now, they want to get back to fishing and we are doing everything that we can to support that.”

I am happy that the Harris brothers have decided to continue to be apart of the Deadliest Catch phenomenon on Discovery Channel. I really think that being on the Cornelia Marie will not only help the boys live with the death of their father Captain Phil Harris, but will forever instill his memory in the lives of the viewers.

The triumphant return of Josh Harris and Jake Harris will be this October when they return to the Bering Sea as deckhands aboard the Cornelia Marie. The brothers will kick off their Deadliest Catch return as they hunt for the elusive, highly lucrative King Crab.

While Deadliest Catch Season 7 will not begin production until October, you can catch up with all of the past seasons at the Official Deadliest Catch Website.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Deadliest Catch Season 7 premiere and the return of Josh and Jake Harris, which will be coming soon to Discovery Channel.
