Real Housewives of Miami Cancelled?
The Real Housewives of Miami fails the BRAVO franchise; Beverly Hills, Jersey and New York are better.
I was hoping the second episode of Real Housewives of Miami would be better than the first, but it wasn’t. Will it be cancelled by BRAVO? I think the sunny relaxed atmosphere makes it harder to grab the viewer’s attention. There seems to be more happening, more life and more vibrancy in Beverly Hills and New York. Theresa & Joe’s relationship as well as their sense of fashion and décor, keep me interested in the New Jersey ladies. Not to mention Daniel Staub having mental breakdowns at every turn that even her daughters find embarrassing. Those I never get sick of. Miami is missing the Snap and Pop of some of the other franchises. I’ve never been a fan of Atlanta and I think Orange County has dragged on too long. I think Bravo is using the same recipe in different cities and it just doesn’t ALWAYS work.
The ladies have another Real Housewives of Miami cooking class/dinner party with Christy hosting. I think the dress code in Miami is “anything goes”, she entertains her guests who seem to have dressed for the occasion in an ‘I ♥ Cuba’ tank top and jean mini skirt. Larsa is not impressed with Christy’s chef making dinner in the crock-pot. I’m sure these dinners are going to start to become competitive as the season goes on. Other that, we see Larsa talking about all the nannies she has hired and fired, and to her mother about how she is going to fire the current one as well. Adriana has a small spat with Frederic while at Christy’s party, because he wasn’t willing to pick her son up at school. Alexia says she can relate because like Adriana, she picks her own children up from school.
Throughout the Real Housewives of Miami episode we hear about this big gala that The Blacks throw every year and has grown from something done in their home to a huge event at the Fontainebleu. Tickets are $500 each and auction items include a Bentley, a Spyker, trips to Mexico, and other high value items. She does snag some interesting guests including Rick Ross, Gloria Esteven, Charlie Crist, Lennox Lewis, Alonzo Mourning, Natalie Cole and even Kim Zolciak! Larsa Pippen isn’t there, but it is probably due to a family trip she was taking to Disney with her family. Christy comes in late after having to deal with a flat tire, and Leah is not happy because neither Christy nor the two ladies she brought with her bought tickets. Looks like Leah has plans to send an invoice to Christy for them. Perhaps this will lead to an explosive fight that will keep us interested.
Side note on this week’s episode: Marysol Patton looked fantastic at the gala. Loved, loved, loved that green one shoulder dress!
