Hugh Laurie Takes Sheen’s Place
Hugh Laurie is highest paid TV actor now!
While Charlie Sheen has been arrogantly demanding $3 million dollars per episode of Two-and-a-Half Men, Hugh Laurie has quietly stepped in as the highest paid TV actor. Technically, Sheen is not working; According to Sheen’s bio on Twitter (which incidentally was opened just yesterday but is already skyrocketing towards 1 million followers), he was “Born Small… Now Huge… Winning… Bring it..! (unemployed winner…)”
And since Sheen is “unemployed,” that makes British star Hugh Laurie the top-earning TV actor. Hugh Laurie, who stars as a brilliant but curmudgeonly doctor on “House,” reputedly makes $400000+ per episode.
Charlie Sheen WAS making $1.25 million per episode, but clearly that figure is not enough for him. The last season of Friends, which was phenomenally popular, had the actors earning $1 million per episode (and that was viewed as crazy). Is Charlie Sheen worth the money? According to Charlie Sheen, he is. Hugh Laurie and his role on House is worth every penny.
Admittedly, Charlie Sheen has had ratings skyrocket for every show he does an interview for. But yesterday, Sheen had his children taken away from him, after his soon-to-be-ex-wife said that Sheen threatened her. On the Today Show, Sheen claimed that he never made such a threat, but it’s apparent that his behaviour is highly erratic. Will Sheen stop before he cracks, or will he continue to act irrationally as he relishes all the attention being given to him in the limelight?
Editor’s Note – Congratulations are in order for Hugh Laurie as he is now the highest paid TV actor…you deserve it.
