modern familyModern Family airs a brand new episode tonight, American Idol and The Middle do as well.

Tonight whether you like Comedy or singing, you will be entertained by what’s on TV. Star the night off with all new episodes of The Middle followed by Modern Family on ABC for those who love to laugh. If you are an avid singing fan, American Idol will air at 8|7c as the Top 12 girls perform.

Modern Family – ABC Network, 9pm ET/8pm CT

My favorite show of the week!  Tonight, Claire (Julie Bowen) attempts to bring peace and order between Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Alex (Ariel Winter).  Meantime, Phil (Ty Burrell) sneaks out of the house for a day at the spa!  LOL.  Anything Phil does, is hilarious. Do you think Claire knows where Phil is off to?  Probably not.  At the Tucker/Pritchett household, Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) decides that he is going to write a book!

American Idol – FOX Network, 8pm ET/7pm CT

The Top 12 Girls perform tonight, just like the Guys did last night.  Who will be your favorite?  Who will bring their “A” game?  Only the Top 5 girls will make it through.  And America gets to vote!  Text, online, or call.

Of course, Wednesday has more to watch, but I think these are the best shows tonight!  Take your pick on what you’ll be watching at 8.  American Idol runs for 2 hours.  I think I’ll be taping The Middle and Modern Family and watch those at 10 when Idol is finished.  Skip through all of the silly commercials and enjoy the shows in about 20 minutes each!

The Middle – ABC Network, 8pm ET/7pm CT

Tonight’s episode Frankie (Patricia Heaton) questions Brick’s (Atticus Shaffer) teacher, who is played by (Doris Roberts) her abilities when Brick receives a D on a math test.  After confronting his teacher, she invites Frankie and Mike (Neil Flynn) to sit in the class.  Elsewhere, Axl (Charlie McDermott) and Sue (Eden Sher) help Aunt Edie (Jeanette Miller)  dig up a time capsule she had buried a long time ago.
