American Idol 2011: Naima Adedapo
Naima Adedapo is one of the top 24 contestants on American Idol, and tonight she will be performing “Summertime,” by George Gershwin.
One of Naima Adedapo’s strong points is dancing. She has studied dance for years, is a senior member of the Ko-Thi Dance Company, and has even been a dance instructor in the past. This will definitely give her an edge over other American Idol 2011 contestants.
Naima auditioned for Idol in Milwaukee but is originally from Chicago, Illinois. The 26-year-old majored in Dance at the University of Wisconsin, but is also passionate about other performance arts, like acting, and (obviously) singing.
Naima Adedapo is also a mother, and says that her daughter is her main inspiration. She seems really talented, and like someone who could really shine during American Idol 2011. On Naima’s Myspace, it is clear that she is a very spiritual person. In her “About Me” section, she writes, “I know that in my life I am meant to cross the paths of others, for they provide lessons and guidence, but ultimately the direction and the path that I lead is based on the decisions that I make.”
Tune in tonight, and see if Naima Adedapo has what it takes to stay in the game!
