Best Actress Winner Predictions Oscars 2011
Here’s our RC Best Actress Winner Predictions for Oscars 2011.
This year the contenders for Best Actress in a major motion picture for the Oscars 2011 are: Annette Bening for her role in “The Kids Are All Right,” Nicole Kidman for her role in “Rabbit Hole,” Jennifer Lawrence for her role in “Winter’s Bone,” Natalie Portman for her role in “Black Swan,” and Michelle Williams for her role in “Blue Valentine.”
My prediction is for Natalie Portman for her portrayal of the ballet dancer who slowly looses her mind while portraying the Black Swan in “Swan Lake.” Portman’s performance gave her a SAG award and should not shock anyone when they call her to the stage to accept the Oscar. Portman seems to be the front runner in this category. She has won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture-Drama, a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role – all for her performance in they psycho-thriller, Black Swan.
Runner-up goes to Annette Bening for her lead role in “The Kids Are All Right.” Although Bening won a Golden Globe for her role as part of the lesbian couple in the movie, Portman gave a stronger performance. It would be nice if the veteran actress won, but it won’t happen. Bening has been nominated four times for an Oscar for her roles in The Grifters, American Beauty, Being Julia, and The Kids Are All Right. She won a Golden Globe for the last two movies listed.
