Friday Recap: Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice
It’s discovered while doing surgery that Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is loosing her vision. It’s becoming blurried and she is unable to finish surgery. Alex (Justin Chambers) examines her and feels that it’s the fertility medication. She is advised to discontinue the medication.
Christina (Sandra Oh) and Hunt (Kevin McKidd) disagree about having children. Hunt feels “she’ll come around” and Christina begs to differ. They argue.
Avery (Jessie Williams) throws his hat in the ring for Lexie’s (Chyler Leigh) affection. Seems to pay off, since the two of them end up in the shower together…typical Grey’s Anatomy.
Bailey (Chandra Wilson) confronts the Chief (James Pickens, Jr.) as to why he didn’t have Derek (Patrick Dempsey) examine his wife’s health. Seems as though the Chief doesn’t want to face reality, when he knows what is to come.
On last night’s episode we see an array of stories, as usual. One thing missing was Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh). Although the show is based around her character, afterall, it was Addison that came to Oceanside Medical Center in Los Angeles from Seattle to start a new life; I didn’t miss her one bit last night. I have to admit, she’s been getting on my nerves lately.
Cooper (Paul Adelstein) and Charlotte (KaDee Strickland) go to couples therapy. It’s revealed that Cooper kissed Amelia Sheppard (Catarina Scarsone). Charlotte gives Cooper the silent treatment for a while. After Amelia speaks with Charlotte and tells her he was just in a dark place while trying to cope with her rape, Charlotte eventually forgives Cooper and then begin to make their wedding plans. All of which thrills Cooper.
Sam (Taye Diggs) and Naomi (Audra McDonald) are working together on a patient who has Down Syndrome and is pregnant in their Private Practice. The minor is under the care of her mother who is uncertain whether she wants her daughter to continue with the pregnancy and have to possibly face something being wrong with the baby mentally or having to raise the baby because her daughter and father of the child are incapable. Of course Sam and Naomi have different takes on the issue. The mother eventually ends up taking her daughter for an abortion elsewhere since she felt the pressure from Naomi to keep the baby. Naomi is in need of a hug after having to deal with all of this. Sam complies, and wait for it, wait for it…..they kiss. Passionately! What about Addison?
Violet (Amy Brennamen) has to deal with everyone at the practice giving her the cold shoulder because they don’t care for how much of their private lives has been written in her memoir. Eventually, they all give in and give her their blessing to go forth with publishing.
