Royal Wedding: A Royal Pain?
The Royal wedding is turning out to be a royal pain!
Prince William and Kate Middleton made their first public appearance since announcing their engagement today, as they attended a dedication ceremony for a new lifeboat in Wales. Fans cheered and applauded as the royal wedding pair addressed the crowd and Prince William apologized for his poorly spoken Welsh.
But not everyone is ecstatic about the Royal Wedding, which is taking place on April 29th. Nearly 2,000 people have been invited to the Prince William – Kate Middleton event, which is taking place at Westminster Abbey. However, this is far fewer people than the 3,500 people who were invited to the famous 1981 wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Further, President Obama and the first lady have not been invited to the affair (while David and Victoria Beckham have been invited). Sarah Ferguson was also not invited.
Furthermore, it appears as though the folks at X-Factor have run into some trouble, as they had scheduled London auditions to occur on the same day as the Royal Wedding. Maybe Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have the right idea in ditching the UK version for the American; it certainly seems like the people working on X-Factor are unorganized, with one insider telling “The Sun” that the clash in dates causes “a major headache.”
