The Amazing Race 18: Unfinished Business Premier, 2011 Cast!
The Amazing Race 18: Unfinished Business season premiere airs tonight on CBS.
This Sunday night February the 20th marks the return of the Amazing Race with the 2011 season premiere (The Amazing Race 18) tonight on CBS. This is the show’s 18th season (although they only have been on the air around nine years, they run two seasons per year) and they have a nice little twist in store for us this season.
They are calling this season of Amazing Race Unfinished Business and it features some of the past seasons’ most popular teams. There are teams that were loved, teams that were hated and teams that just made you laugh or annoyed you. All of these teams have one thing in common, they didn’t win the race and now they have a second chance at winning.
Among the returning teams are Jet & Cord the brothers who are real life cowboys from Oklahoma, Flight & Big Easy the Harlem Globetrotters and Kent & Vyxsin the goth couple who were better known for their crazy clothes than their physical prowess.
Another memorable pair that is returning is last year’s father daughter team Gary &Mallory from Kentucky. She was known for being spunky and upbeat, but they got lost in Oman and never recovered. Margie & Luke the mother daughter team from season 14 also returns. Luke was the first deaf person to be on the show and they finished 3rd. Also form season 14 Amanda & Kris return as do Jaime and Cara the former NFL cheerleaders and Lakisha & Jennifer the sister basketball players.
Rounding out the Amazing Race 18 cast are father and son team Mel & Mike. They finished 6th in their last appearance and feel that if they hadn’t have had bad luck with the cab drivers they could have gone much further. Ron & Christina the father/daughter team that finished second in season 12 are back and last but not least Zev & Justin the team from the 15th season who famously lost their passports round out the cast.
New to this season of the Amazing Race is that the entire season will be shot in HD and the prize for winning the race has been bumped up to $1 million dollars. There is a lot of on the line and many of these teams have come close to winning in the past so you know they will be gunning for it now that they get a second chance.
Tune in Sunday night at 8PM on CBS to watch these 11 teams try to earn redemption on The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business.
