Lara Logan Attack: Hosni Mubarak News Reporter Egypt Assault

lara loganCBS news reporter Lara Logan was violently attacked in Egypt.

The Lara Logan attack in Egypt happened the day that Hosni Mubarak stepped down.  Logan, a CBS news reporter was covering the events in Tahrir Square when things took a sudden turn for the worse. It is said that she and her team as well as their security detail were surrounded by a mob of over 200 frenzied protesters. Lara Logan was somehow separated from her team/security and then surrounded. She suffered a brutal sexual assault until she was rescued by a group of women and Egyptian soldiers.

After the attack, Lara Logan found her CBS news team, headed back to the hotel and came back to the United States immediately. Logan is currently at home recovering from the traumatic events that happened the day Hosni Mubarak stepped down in Tahrir Square.

There will be no more information released regarding Logan’s attack per request of her family. We hope that Lara Logan recovers soon from this brutal assault and we want to send her our thoughts and prayers.
