Rihanna Battles Sickness on Grammy Awards Night
Rihanna battles sickness on the night of the 2011 Grammy Awards.
22-year-old pop sensation Rihanna is still planning on performing at the Grammy Awards tonight with Eminem, despite suffering from bronchitis and laryngitis, both of which are known to put stress upon the vocal muscles. Being sick actually caused Rihanna to cancel a performance for the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, on Friday.
A spokesperson for Rihanna has confirmed that the red haired beauty will be performing tonight. Stephanie Schnell wrote to Reuters, saying, “We have not heard anything suggesting she isn’t making it, as far as we know she will still be performing on Sunday,”
Rihanna has posted tweets alluding to her sickly condition; the songstress tweeted to American Idol host Ryan Seacrest “I’m on every med under the sun! Don’t wanna miss a thang!” Rihanna also attended a pre-Grammy’s party today. Pics show the star looking fly in a sexy white dress (has Lindsay Lohan started a trend?!)
Rihanna has also been getting a lot of press lately due to her latest single, “S&M” receiving censorship in the UK. The provocative track has been banned by Brit station Radio 1, and the music video (which features Rihanna in latex, bondage gear, and a variety of sexy get-ups) has been banned in 11 countries.
