Glee Preview: Lea Michele’s Valentine’s Day “Firework”
It has been a very good week for Glee who hopes to keep the streak going as the hit the airwaves with another all new episode tonight.
Glee star Lea Michele did a great version of “America the Beautiful” at the Super Bowl then after the game the show set a ratings record by attracting close to 27 million viewers with its post-Super Bowl special episode. Tonight the show returns to its regular time slot and hopes that some of those viewers who caught the show Sunday will follow it to tonight.
Tonight is the special Valentine’s Day episode of Glee Season 2 and FOX promises that hearts will get broken. The “Glee” club sets up a kissing booth, but things, as you might expect, don’t go quite as planned. Finn (Cory Monteith) sets up a “Kiss the Quarterback” booth and Santana (Naya Rivera) walks right over and plants one on him (only to later say it wasn’t even worth a dollar). Quinn (Dianna Agron) gets in on the Finn loving, puts her dollar on the table and kisses him as well.
Lauren (Ashley Fink) and Santana fight over Puck (Mark Salling) in the hall with Lauren sending Santana hard into the lockers. It seems that Puck was very affected by his “Seven Minutes in Heaven” with Lauren than he wants to let on. It is clear that love stinks at McKinley High.
As always, there will be music. Tonight we will see Blaine (Darren Criss) and the Dalton Academy Warblers doing a version of Robin Thicke’s “When I Get You Alone” in a Gap store while Kurt (Chris Colfer) looks on in awe. We also get Rachel’s (Lea Michele) take on Katy Perry’s “Firework”.
Tune in tonight at 8PM on FOX to see all the love, heartbreak and singing go down on a brand new episode of Glee Season 2.
