Weeds Season 6 Episode 1 Recap: Mary-Louise Parker And A “Thwack”.
Weeds Season 6 Recap. Weeds delivers Mary-Louise Parker and a “Thwack” on the head with its first episode of season 6 last night on Showtime.
Hopes are high as the season 6 premier of Weeds premiered last night on Showtime. It seems as if they have officially got me hooked for yet another season of the pot-dealing Botwins and their adventures as a family.
Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) and her son Shane Botwin (Alexander Gould) are dazed and confused as we start off Season 6 Episode 1 of Weeds. Nancy’s son Shane has just hit Pilar (Kate del Castillo) in the head with a croquet mallet. The blow instantly killed Pilar as we see her body splash into the pool. Keep in mind that Shane’s death “Thwack” was necessary to protect his family.
In a quick scramble, Nancy and Shane flee from the residence while accompanied by Silas (Hunter Parrish) who is still unaware for the murderous act Shane has just committed.
Once back at the Botwin household, Nancy tells the housekeeper Lupita (Renee Victor) to get everything packed because they are leaving town and not coming back.
As Nancy and Lupita scramble to gather all of their belongings, we cut to the two Botwin brothers, Shane and Silas. Silas asks Shane what really happened at the house that they just fled from. An eerily calm Shane replies: “I killed Pilar, with a croquet mallet by the pool. She was gonna kill us so I popped the bitch, right in the melon. THWACK! SPLASH! DEAD!” Silas is in shock when he finds out his younger brother is now a murderer. He is in even more shock at how calm and surprisingly proud Shane is that he has killed Pilar.
Lupita, Shane, Silas, Nancy and the baby have all their stuff packed and are now ready to go on the run. Unfortunately there is something and someone missing from the picture. Nancy is convinced that they need Andy’s minivan to make the disappearing act a little bit easier.
Andy (Justin Kirk) has troubles of his own as his fiancé is being held hostage by a deranged catholic anti-abortion freak. Nancy Botwin, being the bad ass, weed-slinging mom that she is, busts in the room and demands the keys to the van. A minor scuffle ensues and the deranged stalker ends up tied to a chair and Nancy has gotten what she has come for. She now has the keys to Andy’s van and tells Andy that he can come along if he wants to.
The episode ends with Andy agreeing to hit the road with Lupita and the rest of the Botwin clan.
Season 6 of Weeds is sure to be a thriller as we follow the Botwins while they are on the run from the Mexican Mafia and the FBI.
Tune in next week as Weeds Season 6 returns Monday night at 9PM ET/PT on Showtime.
