2011 ACM Top Vocalists: Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert
The 2011 ACM Top Vocalists nominees have been released and here is a look at the male and female categories.
The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM), hosted by Reba and Blake Shelton, honor artists who have made notable contributions to country music. Two of the major categories for the ACM awards are for Top Male Vocalist (Brad Paisley or Keith Urban) and Top Female Vocalist (Miranda Lambert or Taylor Swift).
The ACM nominees for Top Male Vocalist of the Year include Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, George Strait, and Keith Urban. Chances are Brad Paisley will be taking the award home; he just took home an Artist of the Year win from the CMA’s, and he has won the Top Male Vocalist of the Year Award through ACM the past 4 years in a row!
The candidates for Top Female Vocalist of the Year include Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Lee Ann Womack, and Miranda Lambert. This category isn’t as easy to predict, but Miranda Lambert is a tough nominee to beat. The country music superstar has been nominated for 7 ACM awards; she is also nominated for Single, Song, Vocal Event, Entertainer of the Year, and has 2 nominations in the Video of the Year category. Last year, Miranda Lambert dazzled with 3 wins at the ACMs, and another 3 wins at the CMAs.
It looks like the winners for Top Male and Female Vocalists will be Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert, but nothing is ever certain. To find out who wins, be sure to tune in April 3rd, at 8 PM on CBS (you’ll have some time to schedule it on TiVo).
