Justin Bieber on Letterman, Scooter and “Old” Lady Selena Gomez
Justin Bieber visited David Letterman and discussed “old” people.
Justin Bieber appeared on Late Show With David Letterman this past Monday night, and affectionately poked fun at his manager, Scott Braun, who prefers to go by the nickname, “Scooter.” David Letterman laughingly asked Bieber about the nickname, and Justin replied, “That’s what me and my mom were thinking. Like, ‘This guy named Scooter wants to sign me? How professional could this person be?’ “But it turns out he’s got some creditability. He’s not old and he’s not young. He’s like 30 … he’s really not — he’s 29.”
Hey, since when is 29 not young? Well that’s easy enough to forgive; Justin Bieber is only 16-years-old. I wonder if he also sees alleged girlfriend 18-year-old Selena Gomez as ‘not young.’
Braun took to the teasing well, writing on Twitter, “Thank u David Letterman for allowing me to get texts from people I haven’t spoken to in years telling me I might need to go by Scott now. I don’t think so. lol. I’m Scooter until it’s cool again. when is that u ask? when I’m grandpa Scooter. That’s one cool grandpa.”
Except maybe Scooter forgot that when he’s a grandpa the nickname could take on more meaning, should Braun ever elect to ride around in one of those mobility chairs for “old people!”
