Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster Are Not Too Old For A New Baby
Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster are not too old for a new baby as they are expecting their second child together.
Penny Lancaster, 39, and husband, Rod Stewart, 65, have just announced that they are expecting a brand new baby. This will mark the second child for the couple, who have been married for 3 years.
While this will mark the second child for Penny Lancaster and Rod Stewart, it will be child number 7 for Stewart, who has 5 kids from previous marriages.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the couple stated: “We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy’s 40th birthday.”
Rod Stewart, singer of “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” and various other number 1 singles has had a stellar career. With a track record of over 250 million albums sold around the world, Rod Stewart is looked at as one of the best selling British artists of all time. The pinnacle of Stewart’s career had to be in 1994 when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Penny Lancaster is best known as a model and photographer. For Lancaster, her lessons in photography finally paid off when she was hired to go on tour with Rod Stewart to take photos. Lancaster and Stewart hit it off immediately and began spending a lot of time with each other. In 2005 Rod Stewart proposed to Penny Lancaster, in a romantic setting atop the Eiffel Tower. Later that year, the couple had their first child, a now 4-year-old, Alastair.
While Stewart is at the ripe old age of 65, he proves that while he may be old enough for the senior citizen discount, he can still make babies. I wish Penny Lancaster and Rod Stewart the best of luck with their new baby.
