ted williams rehabTed Williams is the newest voice of radio and…rehab.

Ted Williams caught his lucky break and instantly became a household name. From homeless to overnight celebrity, that can be a lot for anyone to take in and adjust to. The day after a video of him surfaced on the internet, calls starting pouring in for TV and radio appearances. Within a few days, Williams could be seen on the “Morning Show”, hanging with The Roots on “Jimmy Fallon Late Night”, and has become the new voice of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.

Williams did a little celebrating and landed in a little trouble. After partying with his adult daughter, authorities were called due to a disturbance in their hotel.  He was then urged by Dr. Phil McGraw to seek medical treatment and is checking into rehab. Mr. Williams has agreed to check into a private rehab center to clean up his act.

“If Ted is ever going to get better, he’s got to be honest with himself and admit he’s addicted to drugs and alcohol,” McGraw said. “I’ve told him it’s not going to be easy and it’s going to take a lot of hard work. It might be a long journey for him, but this is a big step in the right direction.”

Ted Williams caught his lucky break when Doral Chenoweth III stopped at his street corner and made Williams “work for his money.” Armed with his sign stating he was a radio announcer before falling on heard times,  Chenoweth gave him a couple of dollars for him to speak and then stopped to do an actual interview. That video went viral and landed Williams with offers from all over. Hopefully this stint in rehab won’t hurt his offers and he can continue on his golden way.
