American Idol Season 10 Anniversary
American Idol 2011 celebrates its Season 10 anniversary with all new changes!
American Idol is gearing up for its 2011 Season 10 premiere by changing everything. In celebration of its 10th Anniversary FOX will attempt to salvage its singing competition post Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. With two brand new judges (Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez), a new set and an all new format; Idol hopes to stay alive. Do you think American Idol Season 10 will fail without the presence of Cowell?
Personally, no matter whom you bring in and what changes you make, American Idol will never return to the glory it once had. Simon Cowell, love him or hate him was why many people watched Idol, we all wanted to see what obnoxious comment he would make or on that off chance, who he would praise. I understand that he was not the whole show but he was in fact a big part of it.
Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler really do nothing for me as judges. I mean J-Lo…what in the hell has she done other than shake her enormous booty into the singing industry. This is one of the judges who are going to help pick the next American Idol? That sounds like a recipe for disaster if you ask me. Don’t get me wrong, I will still be watching the show as I have since it first premiered but don’t be surprised if Idol ends after this season.
We already saw the rating drop around 9% last season and both the winner and runner-up are not doing so hot in record sales. American Idol has had a long go at topping the TV ratings but I think, after 10 seasons, its time has come to pack up and say goodbye.
The American Idol Season 10 premiere will air January 19th at 8|7c on FOX.
