Weekend Robot: Facebook Shutting Down and NFL Playoffs
Facebook shutting down social death rumors and NFL Playoff Wild Card weekend.
Facebook shutting down social death rumors ignited over the weekend as the Mark Zuckerberg empire became the latest victim to die online. NFL Playoffs Wild Card weekend took place with the following match-ups: Seattle Seahawks – New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts – New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs – Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers – Philadelphia Eagles.
First up is the Facebook shutting down rumor that ignited over the weekend. It turns out that somebody said Facebook would shut down on January 15th and people believed it. It was all a hoax as the Mark Zuckerberg social empire is still very much alive and well. Facebook is not shutting down and with an estimated value of $50 billion, I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. Much like the Adam Sandler died crap, the Facebook shutdown is just another stupid death rumor.
Next up was the four NFL Playoff Wild Card games that took place over the weekend. I am just going to give a quick rundown of who won each one and what the final score was. Matt Hasselbeck and the Seattle Seahawks beat Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints with a final score of 41-36. Rex Ryan’s New York Jets led by Mark Sanchez beat Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts with the final score being 17-16.
On Sunday the NFL Playoffs continued as Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens dominated Matt Cassel and the Kansas City Chiefs (30-7). Last but not least were Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers beating Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles with a final score of 21-16.
