Top Chef: All-Stars aired its “Dim Sum Lose Sum” episode which marked the Top Chef series’ 100th episode. In a surprise to the cheftestants, Tom Colicchio joined in on the competition as he set the pace for the night. Let’s kick this recap off and find out who was sent home last night, shall we?

On the last episode of Top Chef All Stars, Spike was told to pack his knives and go. Last night the contestants walked into the Quickfire Challenge and were greeted by Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio, who was suited up in his chef’s coat. I turns out that Top Chef head judge Colicchio would be setting the pace at which the contestants had to work for the Quickfire.

Tom would prepare a dish as fast as he could and once he was complete, the amount of time it took him would be the time limit on the Quickfire Challenge. Padma then reveals that not only would the winner receive immunity, they would also be walking away with a brand new Toyota Prius. After the excitement subsides, Tom Colicchio begins and let me tell you, the man is fast as hell. He calls time after just 8:37 had gone by.

The Top Chef All-Stars contestants scramble to create a dish in that amount of time as they all want the brand new car. In the end, Tom dislikes Dale, Angelo and Jamie and he liked Mike Isabella, Richard and Marcel. Mike Isabella winds up winning and receives both immunity and a brand new Prius.

Now let’s move on to the Elimination Challenge in last night’s 100th episode of Top Chef. The contestants are told by Padma Lakshmi that they will be working as one team, in a local Dim Sum house in China Town. Let the chaos begin!

Mike Isabella steps up and will expedite all of the food and then both Casey and Carla will be working the floor. Let’s just say that their service at the dim sum restaurant is a complete disaster. Mike did a terrible job expediting and the chefs couldn’t cook the food fast enough. People in the dining area were literally fighting over the food that was being wheeled out.

After all was said and done, it was time to head back to the Top Chef Judges table to find out who would be going home. Padma calls in Carla, Tre, Casey, Antonia and Jamie into where all of the judges were. Usually the first people called in are the “best” but not last night. All five of those contestants were deemed the least favorite. After a slight interrogation, the bottom five were sent back into the stew room and the top four were called in. Fabio, Dale, Angelo and Tiffany are the top four and Dale ends up the winner.

Once called back in to face the judges, Casey was told to pack her knives and go as she was kicked off of Top Chef: All-Stars.

Top Chef will return next Wednesday night at 10|9c on BRAVO.
