lil-wayne-drugs-thugs-alcoholWill Lil’ Wayne violate his probation? All he has to do is stay away from alcohol, drugs and known criminals. This might be a tough one.

While Lil’ Wayne was sitting in Riker’s Island doing a one year stint for having a loaded gun in his tour bus he also pleaded guilty to felony drug possession in Arizona. This plea stemmed from an incident in 2008 when his tour bus was pulled over and searched by police. They found drugs including cocaine and ecstasy as well as a gun in the bus.

In a plea deal made to help him avoid further jail time once released from Riker’s, Wayne pleaded guilty to felony possession of a dangerous drug. In return for the plea the other drug charges as well as the weapons charge were dropped. Wayne will now serve 36 months of unsupervised probation as per that plea deal. There is one catch. He is not allowed to drink or consume any kind of alcohol, do any kind of drugs without a prescription and he cannot knowingly associate with any person engaged in criminal activity or any person with a criminal record without prior written approval. He will be required to submit to drug and alcohol testing by the probation department.

If Wayne violates the terms of this probation he could be sent to jail for the remained of the time remaining on the probation (meaning if it happens 6 months from now he could serve 2.5 years).

This may be a very difficult task for Weezy who has made his love of weed and booze very well known over the years. That said, his recent time in jail may very well have changed his perspective. It is one thing to serve eight months. You can still come back after that and remain in the public eye. While he was recently gone his career even flourished. It is another thing all together to disappear for multiple years and be able to come back not to mention the actual act of having to do that time can’t be a lot of fun. I would guess that Lil’ Wayne will go into his probation with the best of intentions. He seems like an impulsive guy so I guess we will just have to wait and see if he can manage to keep it together for the next three years.
