beyonceTaylor Swift and Beyonce will battle once again for the MTV Best Female Video award.

Taylor Swift has scored a nomination for Best Female Video at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Swift is set to go head to head with Beyonce once again this year with her popular single “Fifteen.” On top of Beyonce, Taylor will be up against: Ke$ha, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

Swift is no stranger to the category of Best Female Video as she won last year. The controversy of her win last year is still talked about to this day. Taylor beat out Beyonce for the category and while giving her acceptance speech, was abruptly interrupted.

Kanye West jumped up on stage, took the microphone from Swift and began to ramble on. West expressed: “I’m sorry, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!” This stunt on national television had extreme repercussions for the rapper as he was looked at as a total tool for his disrespectfulness.

After an amazing year of touring and chart-topping singles, the icing on the cake for Swift would to be to add another “Best Female Video” award to her collection.

Taylor Swift recently announced her brand new album “Speak Now” which will be released on October 25th. You can also catch Taylor perform her “Mine,” her first single off the upcoming “Speak Now” album when “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” airs September 1st on ABC.

Beyonce Knowles began her career in the music industry as a member of all-girl group “Destiny’s Child.” The three female singers of “Destiny’s Child” went on to become one of the most successful female groups of all time. Knowles pursued a solo-career in her downtime from “Destiny’s Child.” Her solo-career debut album, “Dangerously In Love” was a huge success, earning her five Grammy Awards. Since the “Destiny’s Child” breakup of 2005, Knowles has released 2 more solo albums, both of which were extremely successful. Beyonce is currently in the studio now, working on her 4th studio album.
