Kanye West: “Watch the Throne” Single and Legal Battles
The date for the first single off Watch the Throne, Kanye West’s collab album with Jay-Z now has an official release date. Kanye has announced via Twitter that the much-awaited album will get its first single “H.A.M.” which will be released on 1.11.11…that’s next Tuesday!
Unless Kanye has a change of heart; at his New Year’s Eve party he informed the excited crowd that the album would drop this week. Maybe Kanye just really likes the number 1. Back in November, Jay-Z spoke about it, saying “”We had fireworks going on while we worked on it. There’s going to be 10 songs on the album and there was a bunch of producers working on it, but it’s too early to say any more.” Kanye has also uploaded an image of cover art for “H.A.M,” which is the first single off of the album. The album was recorded in various places, including Peter Gabriel’s studio in England.
While his album release is sure to receive a lot of positive feedback, not everything in Kanye’s life is going so smoothly. The hip-hop artist is currently being sued by photographer Michael Vasquez; Vasquez claims that Kanye West and his bodyguards assaulted and beat him up while at an event in NYC.
