It’s official! Betty White will guest star on the hit NBC series “Community” when the show returns in the fall. At this point, NBC should just give Betty White her very own talk show.

The last season of “Community” created a strong fan base but ratings seem to be lagging for the hit show. In the fall “Community” will go up against the well-established CBS hit “The Big Bang Theory”. Betty White will play a professor on “Community” which is sure to boost ratings. She has already helped “Hot In Cleveland” and “SNL” reach record viewer numbers.

The “Golden Girls” star has recently gained tremendous popularity with a recent facebook campaign to promote Betty White to host “Saturday Night Live”. She was the oldest person to ever host “SNL”. Betty White has also won six Emmy Awards and has been nominated a total of twenty times for an Emmy.

“Community” stars comedian and “Talk Soup” host Joel McHale as a community college student who joins a study group full of rejects. The show is very well written and is gaining popularity.

You can watch a summertime rerun of “Community” tonight on NBC at 8:00 PM EST. Tonight, Shirley throws a Christmas party for the gang and much to her surprise, learns her classmates come from various religious backgrounds. Meanwhile, the school bully challenges Jeff, played by Joel McHale.
